The Weed Relief Fund provides resources for individuals and families whose home or land were destroyed or damaged during the Mill Fire on Sept. 2, 2022 and is supporting the rebuilding of impacted Weed and Lake Shastina communities as quickly as possible.
Roseburg Forest Products Co. established the Fund nine days after the Mill Fire to provide immediate assistance and resources for evacuees. It supported more than 2,500 individuals and families with shelter, clothing, food, transportation and mental health needs.
Having provided evacuees with immediate resources, the Fund in December prioritized the long-term recovery needs of homeowners and landowners whose property was destroyed or damaged, transitioning to the next phase of recovery. As of Jan. 25, 2023, the Fund will no longer be accepting new claims for immediate needs.
